Cheshire Curtains and Interiors produced bespoke blinds and curtains for ‘Changing Rooms’ this year, and if you have been watching, you will have seen how bold all-over prints can create a statement or can be used to unify your room’s colour palette.
Beautiful curtains make a space feel finished and can transform an interior, creating the illusion of a higher ceiling, drawing the eye across a room, or framing views of a beautiful vista.
Installing curtains is an easy way to inject your personality into a room and can easily be changed depending on the season. Getting the right balance of colours and patterns has such a positive effect on a space and sets the tone for the feeling you’re trying to create.
Take a closer look at this season’s curtain fabric.
A majestic plant frond is represented in a stripped-back style that focuses on form and structure in this monochrome fabric by Casamance. The bold design has a dramatic presence where the empty space of the pattern is as important as the used space.
Guerbois Ochre by Designers Guild
Guerbois Ochre fabric is an elegant and striking damask design with softened tapestry-style flowers that create a vintage feel. This design is printed on a textural viscose linen blend and is available in four colourways.
Abernethy Emerald by Designers Guild
A classic tartan is updated with a wonderfully soft brushed finish – part woven with pre and post-recycled wool. The yarn colours are carefully blended, so the manufacturing process consumes less energy and water—modern luxury with a great eco message. Abernethy is incredibly hard-wearing for demanding interior schemes and, as seen here, can be used for both drapery and upholstery.
Gavotte fabric by Margo Selby for Osborne & Little
Jive is Margo Selby’s third collection for Osborne & Little. This playful collection celebrates the riotous mid-twentieth-century dance with vibrant colour and texture. Gavotte fabric features an intricate block pattern inspired by the mechanics of weaving with intersecting rectangular lines.
Belvoir Fabric in Antique Bronze by Zoffany
Belvoir fabric by Zoffany depicts an abstract forest in winter. The tonal horizontal rows create an organic ombré effect across this intriguing cotton-blend fabric design. This dramatic fabric with an all-over pattern is suitable for curtains and upholstery.
